Our Team

B.F. Westen

Executive Director

B.F. Westen* began serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mission Catalyst International in early 2026, bringing more than two decades of global ministry experience and cross-cultural missionary strategy in Asia, Latin America, and especially China. Visiting more than 120 cities in just his first year in China, he developed fluency in Chinese at the age of nineteen using just his Bible, dictionary, maps, and conversations all across the nation. After leading teams for fifteen years serving among the unreached peoples in the foothills of Tibet, he was deported from his adopted home in 2018.

Since that time, Ben has continued to focus on unreached and restricted-access populations, developing indigenous missionary strategies (Tibetandina.com), mobilizing global intercession for China (PrayforChina.us), and producing publications, digital resources, and podcast content (PrayGiveGo.us) to encourage prayer and equip believers to engage unreached people groups. His published and editorial works include historical and contemporary missionary writings designed to inspire and equip the next generation of global mission leaders.

Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ben’s unique combination of field experience, missionary mobilization, multilingual communication, and global relationship development positions Mission Catalyst International to expand its impact in advancing the Great Commission among unreached people groups worldwide.
